Brevard, North Carolina Rocks!!! We had so much fun on our latest adventure to Brevard, North Carolina. I’m from Ohio and Laurie is from Florida so we wanted to “meet in the middle” with our husbands for a weekend getaway. We posted a bit ago about the Air B & B we stayed in last week! A lot of our time was spent in the Pisgah and Dupont State Forests chasing down waterfalls and we were not disappointed in any way! Take a look at some of the falls we were able to see! It was so much fun for all of us.

Looking Glass Falls was the first waterfall we saw. We actually went back the next day to see it again to take more pictures!

We both were hoping to get some great shots of the waterfalls and some longer exposures to show the movement of the water. Night shots of the stars were also in the plans but it rained all of the nights we were there. Guess that God wanted us to be able to spend more time visiting in our dry, cozy cabin.

Sliding Rock was pretty but I can only imagine what it looks like in the summer. This area is probably loaded with people trying to beat the heat. On the left side of the picture you can see a walkway where people can walk back to the top to slide down over and over again.

This is Rainbow falls and we saved it for our last day. It was wonderful, but the hike to get to it was pretty challenging. Really for

Our hike to High Falls was fantastic, with blue skies and perfect weather. Laurie was able to catch this close up view with a long exposure shot. Look at how the water takes on the flowing soft look by adding a few seconds onto the exposure time! The picture below this is from a covered bridge that was just upstream from High Falls. It was sooooo pretty!

If you have any questions about our trip or what we saw in this part of the country drop us a note. We’d love to hear from you if you’ve visited this area too.
